Welcome to the Nicola Basin Fish/Water Management Tool!

Providing this first version of the real-time Nicola Water Management Tool (NWMT) will facilitate the inclusion and unification of a broader suite of biophysical, ecological, and socio-economic considerations in water management decision-making. This heightened level of synthesis will allow water managers to more effectively use the full range of quantitative relationships and incoming information available to satisfy competing fish and water management objectives when time intervals for trade-off decisions are short. NWMT is the product of a collaboration by local First Nations, the Province, Fisheries and Oceans Canada and the Fraser Basin Council. Access to the software is restricted to registered users.
